Equip Your Business, Community Centre, Hospital, Church, or School, to Support Employees Impacted by Domestic Abuse.

Domestic abuse doesn’t stop when an employee clocks in for work. It follows them, sometimes right to your parking lot, to your entrance, via email, or via the phone, impacting their well-being, productivity, and overall contribution to your organization.

At Purple Spaces, we provide organisations with the tools to support these individuals and create a safer, more compassionate and productive workplace for everyone.

With trained Purple Responders in your organisation, you will equip your team to provide crucial support to individuals who might otherwise have no safe avenue to seek help or disclose their abuse.

As a Purple Space Partner you will enable your organisation to play a powerful role in creating a safe environment for employees affected by domestic abuse.

Purple Responder Training

£449 per participant

Purple Responder training is split into 2 modules, each module is 3.5hrs and delivered online.

Module 1: Understanding Domestic Abuse

Introduces the foundation of domestic abuse awareness. Participants learn the definition and different forms of abuse, explore its prevalence in the UK, and gain insight into the profound impact it has on victims. It also addresses the complex reasons survivors may remain in abusive relationships, helping Responders build empathy and a deeper understanding of the challenges faced.

Module 2: Domestic Abuse in the Workplace

Focuses on practical application. Participants learn how to recognise possible signs of domestic abuse, understand the unique role employers can play through support and workplace adjustments, and are introduced to the Purple Responder Protocol. The module also highlights local support services, the importance of self-care when handling sensitive conversations, and the ongoing resources available to Purple Responders.

For most adult victims of domestic abuse, the time they have at work is the only time they have away from their abuser, which is why it’s essential that we support them at work.

Your workplace might represent the only safe opportunity they have to start a conversation about their abuse, ultimately guiding them to their transformative journey from victim to survivor.
